Sons of Rathmoor

Sons of Rathmoor is the brainchild of two ‘Brits’ living in New York City. Their dream? To be the most highly regarded producer of English pork and beef produce in the city. Their initial focus was on selling sausages from a van at local markets with the aim of eventually supplying high end supermarkets and restaurants.

Using a well known British icon and a recognisable sausage shape I created a brand identity that has a witty British feel about it, whilst retaining a fun, artisan element. The fresh, vibrant colour palette hints at the flag colours of both nations and combines well with bold, expressional typography taking influence from British and American café/diner menus.

The tone of voice focuses on the way British English and American English can be so different - Chips or Fries? Biscuit or Cookie? and in this case, Bangers or Sausages?
